✘ time line of a hellish soul ✘

1. unknown age: kaegon is created.

this enormous gap symbolizes the period of which kaegon completed an endless cycle of snatching souls and giving them to lucifer. also; pre-vessel, before kaegon gained one.

2. viking age:

the first time kaegon touches down earth with a human vessel, named bran cahal. he began gaining fame among his fellow hell hounds. his hound form starts to grow in size. for the first time, kaegon explores human lifestyles, culture, an tradition—ick. absolutely disgusting.

3. the crusades:

as a soldier serving in the crusades, dara fergus finally got a taste of human betrayal. it left his heart rotten and began to harden with black tar. even his eye color, once a vibrant blue, turned dark grey.

4. black death:

kaegon was extremely happy here, especially with a lot of souls whose deals were due and wandering about aimlessly. under the alias of flynn gilroy, a plague doctor carrying bodies to be turned. he suffers his first bodily scars and although they can just heal over, kaegon leaves them on not only to make his disguise believable, but to exemplify the internal strength he possesses.

5. seven years war:

yet more soul collecting takes place. now an extremely strong hell hound with an enormous body (hound form) to boot. with a name like kathel lanty, he was known as a formidable fighter and “respected” by the people he fought alongside with.

6. american revolution:

love; what a bland topic; got himself in trouble, actually. he fought in the revolution with the british, but liam lugaid fell in love with a woman supporting the americans. it happened gradually and came to the point when kaegon had no choice but to claim her soul and take it to the devil. his loyalty never wavered since then; there was a flicker, a change of heart, which earned him a missing left hand—a hook to replace it.

7. civil war:

kaegon didn’t bother participating in the actual war, but he stood on the side lines, serving as a member of congress during abraham lincoln’s term as 16th president of the united states. with an alias like mac dara, people assumed he was southern born and raised. sure, he let them keep their little rumors: it was a matter of time before john wilkes booth assassinated the president…and his soul now in lucifer’s hands.

8. world war one:

ah… the first great world war that reshaped the world. a lot of soul catching, death, and a booming economy that would crash 11 years after the war’s end. kaegon laid low during this period, but he did decide to take a permanent residence in yellowstone.

9. world war two:

for some odd reason, kaegon’s hook hand hurt the most during this era. it might have been the fact he finally stopped grabbing souls for a while, but the death all around him served one purpose: irritation. he disguised himself as a nazi officer, gisil gomeric, and feigned indifference to the jews in the concentration camps. not only he saw everyone as rubbish, but the fact truman only laughed as the bombs were dropped on hiroshima and nagasaki angered kaegon. genuine, human emotion. he may be a soul snatcher, but in no way would he ever slaughter an enormous population of innocent lives for instilling fear into the enemy.

Perhaps it’s a good time to kick back and fall asleep, completely disregarding the information that might save your life one day? Then buckle up, boys and girls, because it will be a rough ride — and a long one too. Old men are the best story tellers, after all.

Kaegon is one of the oldest—no, scratch that—a really, really old Hell Hound (just to soften the blow) who would rather want to retire in some outback than continue to work, work, work. To say that the only permanent injury he received were a broken mind and missing left hand during the American Revolution is an incredible feat, yet others insist on bringing it up. Not all Hell Hounds have a perfect record, even if the amount of successful returns overshadow their failures. Sooner or later, the young ones will throw the old ones out to pasture, but it is the old ones who know the rules better. It is them who have physical and mental evidence of incredible feats. Kaegon claims the young ones have no consideration for Hounds his age, but the latter are the teachers—and he? A glorified soul-snatcher; probably ~~the~~ one of the best if not for his defection from the bowels of Hell itself and perpetual residence on Earth.

He does his job, but staying in Hell even for a week drives him insane—figuratively. The Hound says there are others who keep asking him questions, the demons who attempt to bring him under their control, and the jeers he receives from fellow Hounds (out of jealousy, he says).

However, he doesn’t care about jealousy as much as he likes to believe, nor the looming Apocalypse threatening the earth as of this moment. If the Apocalypse were to happen, Kaegon wound only serve the highest of demons—er, Lucifer or Lilith, really. He is as stubborn as they come, and there are rumors of him having killed his former Masters in the past: simply because they weren’t “up to par” with his expectations. The Dog says they left infuriated of his headstrong attitude, but what do you expect of an ancient Hell Hound? Have him behave like a pup? Have him beckon to every call, even though demons cannot truly command his species?

note on appearance: the scars are red while he’s back to the hound, while the missing left hand appears as a grotesque, broken leg, in hound form. his dark grey eyes are the result of an absent heart; love is held so low with kaegon.

personality: insufferable, volatile, yet incredibly strong, more so than his comrades and extended family. he always has to set an example for the youth, but a snappy attitude combined with headstrong beliefs…not the best example: better than how humans have been lately, right? kaegon may be lazy, but that doesn’t mean he is an idiot. the hound won’t hit anyone unless they insulted/harmed him first. however, he has an unusual protectiveness—borderline possessiveness, claiming his friends and (rare) loved ones his. coming from an old pup, it’s strange. he has to make up for the lack of sympathy he gets. after all, hounds of hell are never given gifts, no matter how desirable and useful they become.

Welcome to this RP blog! It is set in the Supernatural world, but I am open to any fandoms not Pokemon, Homestuck—ones that don’t fit. This blog is an OC Hell Hound with Colin O’Donoghue as its face claim. My time zone is PST: if you want to get specific, GMT-7. We all know that RP is meant for fun, but also keep in mind that like in real life, there are rules to having fun: invisible boundaries, etc.

[ roleplay/threads ]:

All threads will be replied according to their order in my Drafts: from down-up. Send me a reminder if five days had passed and I never responded to our thread. It is never because of a lack of muse, but schooling and other outside forces.

An important thing to read are the time line and biography. These posts will help you (and I) in plotting, character development, and threads. If you forget something or made a mistake in our thread, don’t hesitate to check them out again. Even I forget - it’s impossible to remember everything - unless you’re God.

I am open to one liners (convo threads, appropriately tagged convo.), short threads (two lines to a paragraph) and even long threads (more than one paragraph). I will only RP smut if you pass the following conditions: 1) you are of age, 2) your character is of age: 18 or older, and we plotted our characters together/threaded a lot.
